‘A New and Better Way to Travel’

Aviation is on the verge of radical change

Driven by the overwhelming need to respond to climate change and decarbonisation, electric and hybrid-electric aircraft will be a catalyst for major reductions in greenhouse gas emissions.

First to benefit will be small short-range regional commuter aircraft. Manufacturers, including some of the biggest names in aircraft and engine manufacture, are already racing to develop new, electrically propelled aircraft. Small, prototype planes have flown already and the first, all-electric micro-commuter aircraft is due to fly early in 2020. An era of low-cost regional transport is closer than people think.

CityClipper sees a future world where small, quiet, low-cost, zero emissions aircraft are criss-crossing the UK and Europe, rapidly moving people between cities and towns creating exciting, new business opportunities and bringing social benefit to communities with unserved and poorly served airports.

CityClipper will be at the leading edge of this exciting new opportunity. Preparations are underway and we have started engaging with government, aircraft and engine manufacturers, fuel suppliers and airports to deliver a New and Better Way to Travel.

As early as 2020 we will be launching services on a number of entirely new UK routes using technology available today* primarily focused, from the start, on greener flight.
